A water based primer formulated on acrylic latex and
designed for maximum adhesion and protection, to metallic substrates.
Contains corrosion inhibitor.
TYPICAL USES: Recommended for use on galvanised iron (chromated or
not), zincalume, aluminium and steel. It may also be used on concrete
and FRC (fibre reinforced concrete) surfaces. Can be over coated by most
water based topcoats.
PERFORMANCE: Has excellent adhesion to most surfaces. Includes
inherent corrosion inhibitors to stop ongoing corrosion.
LIMITATIONS: Do not apply at temperatures below 10oC nor in direct
sunlight. Always ensure the GALVANISED IRON PRIMER has covered all of
the substrate, before topcoats are applied. If collecting water for
drinking, disconnect down pipes for duration of painting and ensure the
dried film is well washed or left in the rain to allow all the migrating
products to be flushed from the surface. (Usually a foam can be seen in
the early stages of washing). Mix product well before use as heavy anti
corrosive pigments can settle out.
